A new PMP Class has been scheduled for March 8-12, 2010.  This five day class will cover the PMBOK and related material from front to back, and gets you ready for the PMP exam in under a week!

Effective with the December 10-11, 2009 PM 101/102 class, PM One will now conduct classes at the well-equipped and centrally located Lowcountry Graduate Center on International Drive in North Charleston. This is a terrific training center that is run by a great group of people -- we are looking forward to our new home!

PM One was proud to be one of the three event sponsors for the 2009 PMI Charleston Professional Development Day in Charleston. Although we were at the PMO Symposium in Atlanta on the day of the event, we were proud to support PMI Charleston and their members. Sheri Callahan and Dr. Jerry Brightman delivered two very well-received workshops to attendees!

We are looking forward to sponsoring the next PDD for PMI Charleston, where it will reportedly be held on a cruise ship, a first for the Charleston chapter!

The Citadel has a strong reputation for the quality of engineers and graduate students that go through their programs. Starting in January 2010 they will offer a Masters in Project Management degree, allowing the student to emphasize a variety of engineering or leadership areas in addition to the project management core curriculum.

Dan Furlong spoke at the Southern Caribbean International Project Management Conference in Trinidad in September 2009. Dan presented a talk on the role a PMO plays in promoting Project Management, and a second talk on how to run a "Lean PMO" during these difficult economic times.

The event was a huge success and Dan made a number of new friends...and Tobago, where he spent a few days after the conference, was beautiful!

Dan Furlong will be speaking at the Charleston AITP (Association for IT Professionals) during their March 18, 2010 luncheon on the topic of the IT project management.

Dan Furlong spoke at the PMI PMO SIG Symposium in Atlanta November 2009. This symposium is the largest international conference in the world that focuses on the Project Management Office.

It was a great place to talk and share meals with the PMO thought leaders of the world, such as Craig Letevec, Bill Stewart, and others.
